About the class:
In the hadeeth of Taawriq al-Muhaaribee collected by Ibn Abee Shaybah in his musannaf and was authenticated by Shaykh Muqbil ibn Haadee al-Waada'ee, the Prophet (sulAllahu alaihi wa salaam) said:

"Oh people say Laa ilaha ill Allah and you will be successful."

This class will focus on the conditions of the shahadah and its meaning, which is of great importance as it is the foundation of the whole religion and the infrastructure of the straight path.

About Ash-Shajaratul Eemaan:
Ash-Shajaratul Eemaan was established with the purpose of increasing the number of knowledge-based resources available in the Center-Northern NewYork-New Jersey region which promote and uphold the values of Ahlus Sunnah wal Jamaa'ah. With Allah's Permission, we intend to consistently host a series of lectures, classes, seminars, and telelinks with the Scholars of Ahlus Sunnah wal Jamaa'ah and the Du'aat in the West as a means of upholding at-Tawheed and the Methodology of the Salaf. Ash-Shajaratul Eemaan's long-term goal is to establish a fully operating Islamic Institute in the West.

Survival of the Fittest: Camping Trip Part I

All Praise belongs to Allah...our first camping trip was successful and beneficial. Despite the bumpy ride we managed to setup camp in the cold and dark night. Fighting through thorns and poison ivy we 'SURVIVED' our first trip. Our brothers shared with us some beneficial knowledge that we hope to implement in our daily lives and a cause to strengthen our eman and worship towards Allah. A question was posed: "Are we amongst the believers that Allah describes in the Quran?" Meaning, judging our own selves, our actions, faith and character, do we fall under the definition of what it is to be a 'true believer'? On the day of judgment, will we be considered to have worshiped Allah with sincerity and devotion? Secondly, what are we doing for Allah, for Islam and the believing people?

By Allah's permission a second camping trip is in the works, scheduled for late November, so stay tuned.

Why was Al-Amanah Developed? (In Brief)
Living in a society where the youth are determined or even obliged to "fit-in," we saw the need to produce clothing that will allow them to do so while sharing a piece of knowledge to remove ignorance. We saw the clothing with funny jokes, immodest statements and others and wanted to go down a different avenue. Our Urban Tees are designed with both the Muslim and non-Muslim in mind. Our designs have connotation derived from the Quran and Sunnah without the Islamic terminology; keeping it simple at the same time intriguing (insha'Allah)..."a conscious style for people of understanding."

We then made our way into producing Urban Islamic Clothing to cater strictly to our Muslim Community; custom-made thobes and kameez, izaar, hijabs, and more.
